Longham Lake has gained a reputation as one of Dorset’s top Pike fisheries, producing many double figure fish. This popular fishery has also produced Bream to 10lb+ and Carp to 37lb+. In 1994 planning permission was granted for the extraction of gravel and formation of reservoirs on land owned by Bournemouth Water. In 2009 the first reservoir was opened as a mixed coarse fishery. It is stocked with carp, pike, tench and bream. The largest carp caught to date is 41lb 8oz, pike 31lb and bream 18lbs.
