Having been created in 1819, Lower Tamar is the oldest lake in our coarse fishing portfolio.
Fish in beautiful and tranquil surroundings at Lower Tamar, the fishery is recognised as one of the best specimen waters in the South West. The Lake is not deep, however there are few areas over 10 foot in depth.

There are 15 well-presented swims all with a different perspective of the lake. Lower Tamar is stocked with carp up to 39lbs, there is a really good head of fish well over 20lbs and growing fast. The average size of carp at this fishery is close to 20lbs. A fantastic water guaranteeing terrific sport whatever your target species. There are bream to 13lb and roach over 3lb with some perch nudging the 4lb mark. There are also rudd over 1lb. Bags up to 75lb or roach have been caught recently and bags up to 100lb of bream.

Lower Tamar is home to 'Biggles', the Cornish record common carp which reached its top weight of 48lb 15oz in 2015

Lower Tamar Lake is a day ticket only water.
